Happy Halloween

We had a great 1st Halloween with Mason. Of course we didn't trick-o-treat, but everyone that came to our house commented on our "little Monkey" being so adorable. Our neighbors brought him candy and a book which was great. So Daddy read the book to Mason and he held his candy. He only lasted about 30 minutes and then decided to take a little nap.

Is it play time?

Mason really enjoys play time. He likes to sit in his bumbo chair or lay on the floor. It doesn't matter as long as he is entertained. Acutally, most of the time he is good at entertaining himself. Just a few random pictures:

Halloween Costume

Mason is a Monkey for his first Halloween. We, of course, think he is adorable. I don't think Mason is to thrilled about the whole idea. Kevin and I took some picutres earlier in the week for our Halloween card. We had to take them in two rounds. The first round was before his bottle. The idea was we were trying to use what daylight we had left. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

Pumpkin Patch

We visited Nana and Papa this weekend and they took us to a pumpkin patch. Mason got his very own pumpkin. It was actually pretty chilly that day and for some reason Mason spit up all day long. After the pumpkin patch, we went to tractor supply and Caity and Jacob walked Mason around in his stroller. He was very content shopping. We also vistied with Aunt Amy and Uncle Jeff. Mason had a long day and slept the entire ride home.

4 Month Checkup

Mason had his checkup today (along with shots) and he is doing wonderful. Weighing 14 lbs. and 22 1/2 inches long. He continues to be such a happy baby and is now sleeping through the night. Normally, Mason is in his crib between 8:00/8:30 and sleeps until 5 AM. Kevin and I try to make the most of the time that we have with him in the evenings and of course the weekends are extra special for us.

He is really trying to roll over. He is pushing with one foot and rocks back and forth. I'm sure he'll get there soon. He is babbling, cooing, smiling and loves to put his whole fist in his mouth. He would rather do that sometimes than to have his paci. Mason loves to watch TV. Maybe it's because we have a larger TV and he can see it really well. Although, if Blue's Clues is on, he is hooked for the entire 30 minutes. Strange how at 4 months he is that into it, but he is.

Within in the next few weeks, he'll be ready to start on some cereal and baby food. The doctor said to start with the vegetables first since I'm sure they are less desirable. I'm looking forward to seeing him eat. I'm sure he'll be excited.

His next appointment is at 6 months.
